(Regular 5 days tour):

Day 1:

Transfer in minibus from Lisbon airport or any other place in the city, to the rural hotel in Alqueva region, a two and a half hours drive. On the way to Alentejo, it is possible for the minibus to stop at a local supermarket, for those who wish so, to buy some products. Upon arrival at the rural hotel, the rest of the day can be used to rest (take a nap, maybe!) and get to know the surroundings of the accommodation area, a view with a pleasant countryside. Dinner in a local restaurant. Return to the rural hotel. Feel free to take some snapshots of the night sky on the premises of the rural hotel.

Day 2:

Breakfast on the rural hotel, and morning spent on a guided tour in Monsaraz by a professional guide. Lunch in a local restaurant. In mid afternoon a two hours boat trip in lake Alqueva. Dinner in a local restaurant. Starting from 22:00 a visit to the astronomical observatory OLA, where visitors can handle the available telescopes from 8 to 14 inch aperture diameter all night long if they wish to. The observatory staff will make a tour of the premises and lecture everyone on the proper handling of the telescopes in this first time.
